ST THOMAS SCHOOL STUDENTS EDUCATIONAL TOUR AT DBC UK TEMPLE
Diamond Buddhist Centre UK is the first Nepalese Buddhist Temple in London. Ever since the inception of this temple, the teachings and practices on Buddhism has been deliberately carried out which has been benefitted by the local communities who believe the Buddhist faith. The students from the local schools have also benefitted with the introductory sessional speeches from the prominent scholars and venerable monks of the temple. Diamond Buddhist Centre welcomes all the interested lay personnel/students in the temple with a prior permission to learn and practice the Buddhism. On 28th Mar 2025 a group of 21 students from St Thomas A Becket RC with their teacher, Ms Lucy and two staff of the school visited the temple. The founder president and patron of the centre, Mr Sumal Kumar Gurung imparted an introductory speech to the students from 10:00AM to 11:15AM. The students felt happy as this was their first visit in a Buddhist temple and, they were acquainted with a brief life story of the Lord Buddha and his teachings. This was the first ever school students visit of this year. Eventually, other school students are also on waiting to visit the temple. The Senior VP and Acting President Chandra Prasad Gurung, founder Vice President, Mrs Mina Gurung, Chief Adviser Ram Gurung, Temple priest Dhir Bahadur Gurung, Temple Managers Bir Gurung and Man Chhantyal, Founder Member Mrs Saradevi Gurung were present during the students visit.

डायमन्ड बुध्दिस्ट सेन्टर लन्डनकॊ नेपालीहरूकॊ पहिलॊ गुम्बा हॊ डायमन्ड बुध्दिस्ट सेन्टरकॊ स्थापनकालदेखि नै बौध्द धर्मकॊ अभ्यास र धर्मदेशना लगातार भईरहेकॊ छ । स्थानीय स्कुलका विध्यार्थीहरूले बौध्दधर्मका प्राज्ञिक व्यक्तित्वहरू र विद्वान गुरुहरूबाट बौध्दधर्म सम्बन्धि ज्ञान लाभ गरि सकेका छन् । यस बौध्द गुम्बाले ईच्छुक विध्यार्थीहरू वा अनुयायीहरूलाई सबैलाई हार्दिक स्वागत गर्दछ । दिनांक २८ मार्च २५कॊ दिनमा सेन्ट थॊमास आरसी ए बिकेट स्कुलका २१ जना बिध्यार्थीहरूलाई दुईजना स्टाफ सहित त्यस स्कुलकी शिक्षिका मिस ल्युसीले पूर्व अनुमति लिए अनुसार बिहानकॊ दशबजे गुम्बा भ्रमणमा बौध्द धर्मबारे अध्ययनका लागि आएका थिए । गतवर्षदेखि यस्ता कार्यक्रमहरू सम्पन्न गरिँदै आएकॊ छ । बिहानकॊ १०बजेदेखि ११बजेसम्म संस्थाका संस्थापक अध्यक्ष तथा सङरक्षक सुमलकुमार गुरुङले बौध्द धर्म र भगवान बुध्दकॊ जीवनी बारे विध्यार्थीहरूलाई जानकारी गराएका थिए । प्रत्येक वर्ष स्थानीय स्कुलहरूकॊ पाठ्यक्रम अनुसार यस गुम्बामा शैक्षिक भ्रमणमा आउँछन् । यस्तै अन्य स्कुलका विध्यार्थीहरूपनि यस गुम्बामा आउनका लागी पर्खाईमा रहेका छन् । यस कार्यक्रममा संस्थाका का.वा. अध्यक्ष चन्द्रप्रसाद गुरुङ, पूर्व आमा प्रमुख वा संस्थाप उपाध्यक्ष मिना गुरुङ, प्रमुख सल्लाहकार राम गुरुङ, गुम्बाका गुरु लामा धिरबहादुर गुरुङ, गुम्बाका म्यानेजरहरु क्रमशः मन छन्त्यल, बिरबहादुर गुरुङ र संस्थापक सदस्य सारादेवी गुरुङ उपस्थित थिए ।
